I have been practicing plastic surgery in Manhattan for 20 years and have been lucky to be listed in the Castle and Connolly and New York Magazine "Best Doctor" publications many times. Although I enjoy the leadership positions that I have in plastic surgical societies, my editorial position with the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and my position on the American Board of Plastic Surgery, my real interest and expertise is performing surgery and taking care of patients. Making people happy never gets old.
25 years ago I began making ears for kids who were born without them. This led to an enormous experience with every possible ear deformity, from children with ears that simply stick out to victims of dog bites, burns, cancer or previous cosmetic surgery.
My goal in ear reconstruction is to create an absolutely normal ear, with no evidence of surgery, minimal recovery time, and minimal risk of complications. My goal in reconstruction of an ear in a patient with microtia is an ear that looks totally normal from conversational distance.
I would like to help you or your child. I invite you to explore this site and those linked to it and to contact us. I cannot guarantee perfect results in every patient (be careful if anyone does) but I do guarantee that my staff and I offer a degree of experience, professionalism, concern, honesty, competence and individualization that equals or surpasses any in the world.
